SPERRYVILLE — Warrenton Hunt member Rick Laimbeer and his sister Daphrie galloped almost two minutes faster than second place finishers Kirsten Oleson and Michael Murphy at the Rappahannock Hunter Pace Event March 2.

Some optimum competitors—the Paul Bemath-Marc Blanchard and Richard-Rick Beckels duos—actually had faster times than the second-place finishers but were signed up for optimum and therefore judged in that category.

Optimum was set at 8:33. The closest pair to that time belonged to Ashley Settle and Leah Ann Leary of the Rappahannock Hunt, whose horses The Black Imp and Rock the Boat galloped the course in 8:31.
