Recycle aluminum cans
The Chester Gap Junior Fire Department members are recycling aluminum cans. If you have any cans and would like to help them please leave them at the Chester Gap fire hall or call 635-5482 or 6357273.
Spaghetti dinner
The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue will sponsor an all-youcan-eat spaghetti dinner on Saturday, March 23 from 5-8 p.m. at the fire hall. Prices are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. To donate food or help with the event call Donna at 937-5595.
Calendar coordination
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community is organizing a Community calendar for the purpose of coordinating event scheduling and spotting potential conflicting dates in advance. Children'stheatre games
Theatre games for children, taught by Frank Kren of Old Town Theatre are held on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. until noon at the Gay Street Theatre. Fee is $25 monthly. For more information call 675-1157.
Christian aerobics
Aerobics exercise to contemporary Christian music is being offered to women in the community at Washington Baptist Church at 9:15 a.m. every Thursday morning. There is no charge and children are welcome to attend with their mothers. The music is uplifting and the exercise will help you with those New Year’s resolutions. An Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is held every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
Middle Street art classes
Tanya Richey offers a Watercolor Power class each Thursday from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Windflower Gallery’. The class will explore new techniques in watercolor painting. The fee is $45 for members, $55 for non-members for five classes. For information, call 6751113.
