The Saturday last month when David Armor rescued six puppies from under the floorboards of his F.T. Valley barn, he had plenty else to think about.
On the day before, Friday, his wife Marilyn had flown from D.C. to Los Angeles as part of her job as an administrator in Attorney General Richard Thornburgh’s office to prepare fpr an event at Pepperdine Law School.
Touching down in L.A., her USAir plane landed on a commuter plane, killing 33 people and injuring 12 more.
Although she suffered a broken bone (which went undiscovered for a few days), Mrs. Armor’s relatively good fortune matched the puppies’.
It tells a lot about the couple, who purchased Sharp Rock Farm on the Hughes River in November, that they continued their normal routines the next day:
