Children need security, affection, safe environment, plenty of rest, physical activity and a balanced and varied diet to maintain optimum health. Routine health and dental care are necessary to ensure a child’s physical well-being. Since March is observed each year as National Nutrition Month by the American Dietetic Association, I wanted to share some guidelines on nutrition for children and some kid-pleasing recipes in my column this week.
