Cemetery cleanup planned

A cleanup day for the First Baptist' Church cemetery is planned for Saturday, March 9 beginning at 10 a. m. Anyone willing to help or who has tools is urged to attend if weather permits. For more information, call David Clanagan (987-8937) or Eunice Lewis (675-3612).

Flexercise classes

An 8-week series of flexercise classes will begin Monday, March 11. Classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Class fee is $40 for the 8-week series. Call Rose Ann Sharp, 675-3887 evenings for more information.

J3eauty pageant planned

The aifftual beauty pageant sponsored byAhe Sperryville Rescue Squad will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Rappahannock High School. Practice will be Friday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. and will include those between the ages of two and 21. For more information call Ann Markham at 987-3122 or Nancy Leake at 987-8971.

Fteart Association to meet

The Rappahannock Unit of the American Heart Association will meet on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. All members are urged to be present.

Improvisation classes to begin

Improvisation classes with Dancing Reed including dance, voice and storytelling will be held on Mondays, starting March 11. The class will use personal stories, dreams and folklore to focus on performance skills and each person’s unique view of the world. The class will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Work Space for Choreographers in Sperryville. For more information call Cathy at 937-5971.

Sperryville gun lottery

The second annual gun lottery sponsored by the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department is underway. Tickets are $30 each and good for 52 weeks with a gun being given away each week. For more information call 987-8683 or 987-8124. •
