528, giving an exact ratio of 2:1. The 5th note above C - G - has a pitch of 396, and a ratio of 3:2, as compared with middle C. Each note in the major scale has an exact, simple, diatonic ratio. ,
"These diatonic ratios showed up in the crop circles in two different ways. Interestingly enough, numbers representing sharps and flats did not show up in the crop patterns. I analyzed the entire sample of circles accurately measured by P. Delgado and C. Andrews between 1981-1988 and out of a total of 18, 11 gave diatonic ratios.
“Was the first point on the intellectual profile (of the ‘hoaxers’) a knowledge of the diatonic scale? They seemed to know of these fractions, taking care to encode them in the shapes so that they could be retrieved by someone studying aerial photographs. The accuracy required in a typical 20-meter circle is about 15 centimeters, and without the precisely-made edges, my analysis would not have been possible.
“My scientific colleagues have checked out the mathematics and they confirm what I have discovered, but usually their interest stops there.”
In response to the many letters inspired by the Science News article, Dr. Hawkins concluded with these comments:
“The practical result of the geometry and diatonics is that we can eliminate all theories proposed for the phenomenon as a whole that depend on a natural science process.
“There has been much jest and amusement over the crop-pattern phenomenon, but there is a serious aspect. Harvesting of the food supply has been interfered with for more than a decade in England, and increasingly elsewhere (Canada, Japan, U.S.) in the world, by an undetected intrusion into our environment. The jesting will be out of place if the phenomenon continues to spread.”
It would seem that in this very modem age of revelation, with so much “information” being broadcast at the speed of light, that we are being urged to understand the purpose of the patterns, whether they’re impressed into a field of grain or upon a conscious human brain.
If someone has been trying to get our attention perhaps it would be wise for us to look and learn to listen. If we don’t know how it’s done, at least we’d better know who’s doing it - and why.
