Around the village, Mrs. Frank McWhirt spent the Memorial holiday weekend with her granddaughter Katelyn Murphy in Spotsylvania as her parents Mary and Michael Murphy were visiting friends and attending the car races in Charlotte, N.C. on Sunday. Mrs. McWhirt also visited her son and daughter-in-law Walter and Pamela McWhirt in Fredericksburg.
