Washington Baptist Church agreeded to be the Host Site for the SHARE Delivery Day each month. Even though WBC is the host site, it’s not a religious organization. Several churches participate as registration sites on the first Sunday of each month. These are WBC, St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Promise Land Baptist Church. In addition to these churches, registration sites include the Chester Gap fire hall and Senior Citizens Nutrition Site. Note: we still need sign up sites in Amissville, Castleton, Flint Hill, Woodville, Slate Mills and any community where there are people who want to participate.

The steering committee is responsible for (1) registration of participants, (2) securing drivers each month to go to warehouse in D.C. to pick up food (to date we’ve had 18 people volunteer to drive so it’s a new pair almost every month; that way no one is burdened with driving every month), (3) publicity, (4) collecting vouchers for community service work performed each month, and (5) helping at Delivery Day.
