For the serious .wine enthusiast, Fern Street Gourmet (with locations and Alexandria and Burke) and the Greenbrier’s cooking school, La Varenne, (located in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.) will team up to conduct seminars on tasting wine, pairing wine and food and cooking with wine.
Tickets for the smorgasbord of wine, food and fun at “Vintage Virginia ’92” can be purchased by calling 1-800-277-CORK. For persons over 21 years old, tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the gate. For everyone under 21 (who cannot be served wine), tickets are $3. Children under two are admitted free.
A portion of the festival proceeds this year will benefit nonprofit public television and radio, WETA Channel 26/91FM.
