Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill were honored with a surprise party on Friday evening at Thom Ridge Farm in observance of their 40th wedding anniversary.

Paul F. Butler who is in the service stationed in Florida spent the Memorial Day weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Butler. Others eryoying a luncheon at the Butler home on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Scott Keithley of New Baltimore, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Thornhill of Culpeper, Mrs. George Butler, Lottie Johnston and Jean Gibbs.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Clatterbuck and family were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Southard in Woodville.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hopkins of Remington recently called on Gladys Schlosser at Fox Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hensley at Rocky Top.
