William Hixson of Haverhill, Ma. and three sisters, Betty H. Powers of Boston, Rosalie Baker of Barboursville and Emma Lou Payne of Culpeper. Also survived by three nieces, six nephews, several greatnieces and nephews, three aunts and an uncle.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 2 at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Floyd T. Binns officiated.

Florence Settle, 87, of Flint Hill, died Friday, May 29 at her home.
The funeral was conducted Sunday, May 31 at the Mt. Salem Baptist Church by the Rev. Merlin Shorb and the Rev. Jimmy Burke. Burial was in the Settle family cemetery at Rock Mills in Rappahannock
