Dorcas Ella, Ella) Dwyer who married 29 January 1873, John C. Hess. They also moved to California.
Benton Dwyer described the house and lot where his grandmohter, Lucy Dwyer had lived. There was wonderful spring in the yard, from which issued a bounty of water. Along and around the spring, his grandmother had planted a most beautiul array of flowers, and had done extensive stone work. She took so very much pride in it. After her death the town bought the property and nothing is left of the house or spring garden.
As for documentation of the death of Richard B. Dwyer, I offer the following. First, I was escorted to Greenwood Cemetery by Benton Dwyer. He showed me the family lot, which contains tombstones for Richard, Lucy, John Thomas and others. Next, I had visited the Southwestern Library in Bolivar and located on micro-film the obituary of Richard, which appeared in the May 14, 1891 issue, page 4, of
