solve problems at the schools. The teams have used techniques learned in the quality management training. Some of the problems tackled grew out of a survey of parents conducted last fall. Teams were formed to deal with problems with the bus system and with high school discipline.
Other teams have been formed in response to problems brought up by employees. Teams have worked on issues including elementary school scheduling, guidelines for granting tenure and a new reporting system for primary grades.
Representatives from 10 teams reported at the banquet. Most reported that working through the process has been a learning experience for them. Some teams have finished their work and have been disbanded. Other teams will continue their work next year.
