var, Missouri, aged 79 and widowed. He was married to Betty Eileen Schwartz, who died in 1989. Betty was from Caldwell, Ohio. Ben and Betty died not have children.
I have not yet mentioned the children of Richard B. and Lucy A. Compton Dwyer. Now, Lucy was born in Ohio as can be had from the 1880 Census of Polk County. Her father, found in the obituary of Richard B. Dwyer, was Richard Compton, who was born in Virginia. Lucy died in Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri in 1917. Richard and Lucy and John Thomas Dwyer are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar. Children of Richard and Lucy Dwyer were: A) Florence Dwyer who married 6 November 1878 to James Roberts (already mentioned). B) Bell Dwyer who married 27 August 1884 to W.W. “Mac” Holland, a lawyer. After their marriage they moved to a suburb of Los Angeles, California, where Mr. Holland practiced his profession. Benton says he remembers “Aunt Bell” coming back to Bolivar on visits. C) Mary Elizabeth Dwyer married 30 July 1871 to Francis Benton Hayes. These were parents of four children: Frank Hayes, Truman Hayes, Golden Hayes and Dorcas Hayes.
