Joyce A. Menefee and James E. Steward were united in marriage on Saturday, May 9.
The 2 p.m. double ring ceremony was held at Front Royal United Methodist Church. The Rev. Larry Thompson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Roger Menefee of Washington and Nancy Menefee of Strasburg.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Steward of Middletown.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a gown of white Chantilly lace, trimmed in pearls and sequins. The open, scalloped back was accented with strands of pearls and the sleeves with shoulder puffs were accented with teardrop pearls of luck. She carried a cascade bouquet of orchids, stargazers, miniature rosebuds, variegated greenery and pearl inserts.
The bride chose Elizabeth Jenkins of Sperryville to serve as her maid of honor. She wore a royal blue tea-length dress made of lace, accented with an open back and bow.
Her bridesmaids were Sharon Brown of Sperryville and Deborah Whetzel of Charlottesville. They wore fuchsia tea-length dresses made of lace, accented with an open back and bow.
Her flower girls were Angela Brown of Sperryville and Nichole Voron of Woodstock.. Their gowns were identical to the maid of honor.
The groom chose Mitch Thomas of Middletown to serve as best man.
