Amissville Volunteer Fire Company recently mailed over 2,000 brochures appealing for funds. To date 200 responses have been received which netted $9,000. Much more is needed and will be applied to the purchase of a new ambulance which has already been ordered. The fire company has received a state grant of $37,749 and this must be matched. Donations have ranged from $5 to $500.

Area residents are asked to return their contributions in the selfaddressed envelope provided or mail it to P.O. Box 147, Amissville, Va. 22002.
