Rappahannock News Staff Writer

For the past year the Rappahannock County schools have been participating in a quality management grant funded by the state and the Xerox Corporation.

As the school year drew to a close the school system held a banquet to celebrate the program’s accomplishments.

Under the grant, most of the staff has received training in quality management. This training exposes school system employees, including administrators, teachers, teacher aides and bus drivers, to quality control techniques used in the business world.

School Superintendent David Gangel said this should eventually save the school system money, since failure is expensive.
