She reports that she wants to become involved in student government at U.Va. but probably won’t go out for cheerleading though she may try to join a dance team that performs at games.
Chris Stone attended Rappahannock public schools through seventh grade but was in the Fresta Valley Christian School in Marshall from eighth through eleventh grades. He returned to public schools this year for his senior year because Fresta Valley doesn’t offer classes in physics and calculus.
He has had an active senior year. He was editor of The Rappup, the student newspaper, a member of the Pop Quiz team, and treasurer of the senior class. For the treasurer's job he worked diligently with a spread sheet program keeping track of fundraising for the senior class trip.
He will attend David Lipscomb University in Nashville next year and plans to study accounting. The university, like Chris’s family, is affiliated with the Disciples of Christ Church.
He said he realizes that college will be different from high school. “I wont have anybody telling me when something is due. It will be all up to me to get my stuff done,” he ■aid. “I hope I am ready.”
Chris said the teacher he will miss moat is English teacher Jon Heddleston. Mr. Heddleston was his faculty advisor on the newspaper. “And 1 will miss my brother,” he added, “even if he doesnt believe it.”
