Tax bills sent out
Tax bills for real estate and personal property for 1992 have been mailed out and are due Dec. 5. Failure to receive the bill does not relieve the taxpayer of penalties and interest charges that accrue by law for failing to pay the tax.
If you have not received your bill(s), contact Treasurer Frances Foster, P.O. Box 37, Washington, Va. 22747 or phone 675-3334. Office hours are MondayFriday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Treasurer’s Office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27.
Alumni basketball tournament
Rappahannock High School’s fourth annual alumni basketball tournament will be held Friday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 28. Game times will be 7 and 8:30 each night. Teams are now forming and to participate you must call Kelly Settle or Gary Leake at RCHS, 987-8575. All tournament proceeds will benefit the school’s athletic department.
