The scholarship will be funded from the net proceeds of a shopping raffle being donated by the members of the Sperryville Business Council. They are selling tickets for one dollar each. The grand prize is a $450 shopping spree, consisting of a $50 gift certificate good at each of the following nine member shops Country Home Antiques, Country Manor, Elmer’s Antiques, Parkway Gift Shop, Southern Drawl Artworks, Sperryville Antique Market, That Sperryville Emporium, The Church Mouse, and The Faith Mountain Company.
Second and third prize gift certificates from The Appetite Repair Shop and The Hazel Mountain Pub will also be given.
The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. on Nov. 28 at Country Home Antiques and the winner need not be present to win. Tickets can be purchased at any of the participating Sperryville businesses.
