holiday closings
The following businesses and county offices will be closed this week for the Thanksgiving holiday:
Rappahannock County Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly will dismiss at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 and resume classes on Monday, Nov. 30.
Rappahannock County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday as will the county’s Social Services Department.
Family Guidance Services of Rappahannock will be closed Thursday and Friday. In case of an emergency, clinic staff may be reached by calling 675-3329.
The Rappahannock Library will be closed Thursday and Friday as will the Rappahannock Health Department.
Area post offices will be closed Thursday.
The Rappahannock National Bank in Washington and the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Flint Hill will be closed on Thursday.
The Itappahnnnock Neies will be closed Thursday. Early deadlines for Wednesday, Nov. 25 are as follows:
Combo display real estate advertising is 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19; combo display and classified advertising is 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 and local display and classified advertising is 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. The Sews office will observe normal business hours on Friday.
