Board of Supervisors has allotted $1,000 to the County Library which is being established on Gay Street in Washington, Va. This action was taken by the Board at the November meeting held on the 7th, at the court house. The local Board of Supervisors, as well as governing bodies throughout the State, had been contacted by the Virginia Civil War Centenniel Commission for participation in the Centenniel celebration. After due consideration, the Board decided that the most fitting commemoration would be a gift to the library fund and included $1,000 in the budget for this purpose.
Hunting Season opened with a bang, literally, in Rappahannock on Monday with Clarence Baldwin shooting a 175-lb. spike in Hampton District at the Baldwin home place in Gid Brown Hollow, a little before seven o’clock. Near there also in Gid Brown Hollow A.H. Keyser is operating a 600-acre hunting
