Rappahannock News Staff Photo Scan Kilpatrick Venizelos “Jello” Lagos stands beside the plaque he recently received honoring him for a lifetime career in baseball. The award was made by the Home Plate Club of Washington, D.C. Lagos, who now lives near Blackwater Creek, earned the award by working for many years in the sandlot leagues of Maryland and the District, including 13 years as manager and coach of the unlimited team in the Maryland Industrial League.
