Maybelle Gilkey was named the 1992 Outstanding member of the Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers Clubs at the annual Achievement night program. . The program was held Monday, Nov. 9 at the Amissville Baptist Church, hostessed by the Amissville Homemaker’s Club. , Maybelle is a lifetime resident of Rappahannock County and currently resides at Chester Gap. She is president of the Extension Homemakers Council and has 20 years of service to this organization.
