Absurd Evenings
Are you looking for an evening of fun, laughter and good food? The Windmore Foundation for the Arts, in conjunction with the Culpeper Community Development, has just what you are looking for, “The Theatre of the Absurd.”
This PG-13 evening consists of the one act play, “The Lesson” by Ionesco, directed by Jim Disbrow, and a 15-minute theatre, “Dinner for One,” directed by Alwyn Heil.
The principle actors are Rick Foret of Culpepei as the professor in “The Lesson” and the butler in “Dinner for One,” Laura Ann HolleyPoole of Orange as the Pupil and Kathie Behanna of Culpeper as Marie the Maid in “The Lesson.” In “Dinner for One.” Jean F. Goodine of Washington is Ms. Sophie.
This interesting evening will take place at the Lakeside Clubhouse on U.S. 522 near Culpeper on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28.
In keeping with the theme of the evening heavy Absurd Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m. with dessert during intermission. The performance will start at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $15.
