Dance at Firehall

Health Care in Recovery

Health Care in Recovery is a closed 12-step meeting for Health Care Professionals recovering from the disease of alcoholism/substance abuse. This group focuses on recovery by sharing its experience, strength and hope in the following area: treatment facilities and needs, legal resources, disciplinary board process, aftercare monitoring and employment reentry.

Workshop Scheduled

A free and fun workshop will be presented by a parent-professional team, certified by the Parent Educational Advocacy Training center (PEATC). Information will be provided on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B, ages 2-21 and Part H, ages 02, Virginia s Special Education Procedures and Regulations, Dispute Resolution and Procedures, and Section 504.

The workshop will be held at the Holiday Inn, Business Route 29, Culpeper from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 22. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Dinner Honoring Andy Guest

Sessions Planned

Tai Chi Chuan, an ancient Chinese form of gentle exercise and meditation which tones, strengthens and relaxes all systems of the body, will be held at the new Community Center next to VDOT in Washington from 8-10 a.m. on Mondays and 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning May 1. Fees are $45 a month or $35 a month for seniors and other enlightened beings (students). For more information call Kathleen Maier at 636-3078.
