Easter Sunrise
Service Planned
An Easter Sunrise Services will be held at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 16 at the Revercomb Family Cemetery on Peola Mills Road, Route 601. Refreshments will follow at the F.T. Baptist Church.
Maundy Thursday
Service Planned
The community is cordially invited to participate in a Maundy Thursday service at Washington Baptist Church at 7 p.m. on April 13.
Easter Week at Amissville
United Methodist Church
On Thursday, April 13, there will be a Maundy Thursday Service at 7:30 p.m. at Amissville United Methodist Church whrch will include The Lord’s Supper. “Jesus’s last meal with his disciples and references to the cross will be a part of the worship. We encouraged you to join us as the resurrection is much less meaningful without the passion Jesus endured. Nursery is provided for infant-five years.
Friday morning there will be Easter egg coloring in the social hall for children at 11 a.m. on April 14. Come help prepare the eggs for the “hunt.”
On Saturday, April 1 5 at 2 p.m. the children meet in the Sanctuary for story and activity as an opening for the Easter Egg Hunt. There will be three age levels and three areas outside as the children fill their baskets.
Sunrise Service is scheduled for 6:25 a.m. April 16 on the front lawn. This will be followed by an Easter breakfast in the social hall for everyone.
The regular Sunday School hours is 9:45 a.m. and there are classes for all ages including Nursery. “Come study the Word of God with us on Easter,” said Rev. White.
