Soccer coach Uli Maeyer said that in the second half of last week’s game against James Wood, the team played better than any Rappahannock soccer team he has ever seen play, under his coaching or anyone else’s.
RCHS beat James Wood 4-1. Coach Maeyer said, “We were absolutely dominant the whole game.” In the first half, Willie Shanks and Eddie Sause each scored two goals, while James Wood scored one on a comer kick.
During the second half, said Coach Maeyer, they concentrated on play ing more defense. “Our intention was to secure the victory,” he said.
