Election 1995 It is clear that county voters will have at least one choice to make in the 1995 election. Democrat Sue Scheer’s challenge to incumbent Republican Del. Jay Katzen promises to offer a clear choice to voters. It’s not clear whether the Democrats will challenge State Sen. Kevin Miller, and so far no county races are shaping up. The county’s constitutional officers and members of the Board of Supervisors appear, with two months to go before the ballot is set, to have no opposition. It’s not even clear that the county will have enough candidates for the School Board to fill the five seats. Interestingly the people most involved in the ballot initiative to have an elected School Board have since put their children in private schools.
