On Tuesday, the last possible day to add any names tc( the ballot for this fall’s elections, two more decided to ruii for the School Board and one more for the Board of Supervisors.
Ron Frazier of Jackson District has qualified to run against Ellis Bingham for his Board of Supervisor’s seat. The only other seat on that board to be challenged is for Wakefield District. In that district, Roger Welch is running against incumbent Hubert S. Gilkey.
All of the seats on the School Board could be filled by new members after the election.
The biggest race for the School Board will be in Hampton District, where Mary Beth Martin and Elizabeth W hetzel are both challenging incumbent Bryant Lee Mrs. Martin, who qualified at the last minute on Tuesday and was just beginning to seek her 50 required signatures at 5 p.m. that day, is the wife of Dr. Jerry Martin at the Rappahannock Medical Center.
