Gymkhana

A Success

To the Editor:

I would like to take advantage of this forum to thank all those who helped make the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company’s 2nd Annual Gymkhana a success.

Thanks first and foremost to David and Dudley Semmes for not only providing the beautiful grounds and a tent, but for performing as judge and ringmaster, too!

Thanks to Julia for helping me put the whole thing together; to Kim for being coerced into being secretary; to Teddie for volunteering and for keeping statistics; to Frank for announcing; to Tom for doing the food; to Medora, John, Rebecca and Martha Lou for generously sharing their ponies; to all the by-standers who got cajoled into competing and of course, to all the regular entrants.

We all had a great time and will certainly plan to do another one. We cleared better than $325 for the Fire Department I thank you all again so much.
