The election took place because Mrs. Kevis’s term as chairman expired in March. The vote for Mr. Barton was unanimous. The board also voted to have Patrick O’Connell remain as secretary for the board.
Two applications for signs were approved for Susan Parrish for Cabin Fever Books and Patti Mullan’s for her stained glass studio, Sundance. Both businesses are in the same building on Gay Street.
Phyllis Marriott, proprietor of the Foster-Harris House, was not on the agenda, but ARB member Dwight Matthews said he felt that her existing application should be amended because he noticed mild discrepancies in a ne.w window in her house. He said that the window was different from the drawings the ARB had approved.
Though cases pot on the agenda are generally not heard, the members decided to make the change on the existing application, and approved it.
