A large Fourth of July celebration is again being planned for Great Meadow.
Gates open at 2 p.m., and activities are planned through a fireworks show choreographed to music at dark.
Hayrides, pony racing for junior riders beginning at 6 p.m., tethered balloon rides, a moon bounce, face painting, children’s field games, live bands, craft exhibits and the Fauquier County 4-H petting zoo are some of the activities planned.
Foods including steak and cheese, pit beef and turkey, hamburger, soft fee cream, cotton candy and more will be on site to tempt every palette.
