Amissville village lost two very prominent citizens last week — Mrs. May Belle Stuart and Silas “Junior” Martin.
Mr. Martin died last Tuesday. He had been a cub scout leader for many years. Our sincere sympathy to his family. He will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Stuart died last Wednesday. She, too, was a blessing to our community, especially her gift of Stuart Field. She was the first recipient of the Ruritan’s “Amissville Citizen of the Year.” The Ruritans have formed a committee to decide on an appropriate memoriam for Mrs. Stuart. She, too, till be greatly missed.
