Thomas Paul Owens, 40, of Leesburg, was arrested for assault and battery on his wife Connie Owens, who is separated from him. She lives on Route 1001 in Sperryville.

According to the police report by Capt. Jeff Brown of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Owens and his girlfriend,Tanis Dawn Largent, 24, of Leesburg, were on Mrs. Owens’ property. Ms. Owens asked Ms. Largent to leave, but she refused. At that point, Mr. Owens slammed the front door shut on Mrs. Owens’ foot. She filed the complaint to have him arrested for assault and battery, and Ms. Largent was arrested for trespassing.

Brian Lee Dodson, 18, of Sperryville, was charged with possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Responding to a report of a DUI driver, Capt. Jeff Brown found Mr. Dodson’s vehicle parked on Route 522 in Sperryville, with the headlights on and the keys out of the ignition. Mr. Dodson had possession of an open beer and several other beers nearby.
