Mr. Edge lives in Culpeper with his wife who is a physical therapist at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Donn Hackney was director of a Fairfax County residential alternative education school for emotionally disturbed students for eight years. He Will be working with special education students teaching math, language arts, science and adaptive physical education.
The Howard University graduate said he moved to Harris Hollow when his wife got a job with the Community Services Board in Culpeper. “We fell in love with the mountains,” he said. He is happy to be giving up his commute into Fairfax County and said he wants to become more involved in the life of the community.
“So far everything has been so positive,” he said. “I have a lot of enthusiasm for the approaching school year.” ■ .The fourth new high school teacher Paula Moore was not in the county most of last week and the beginning of this week’s meetings. After getting hired to teach home economics the week before the new teacher meetings got started, she came for Monday’s meetings and then drove back to Corpus Christi,Texas, to pack up and move to Virginia.
She is a gruduate of Southwestern Texas State with a major in home economics and interior design.
This will be her fourth hear teaching. She taught at £f junior high in Corpus Chrusti and before that at Culpeper Chrustian School.
