Mr. Bingham said he knew that some people were disappointed about the tax decision the Board of Supervisors made regarding the tax for the fire departments. He explained that they passed the tax because 58 percent of the people in land use in this county are out of county investors. “We felt it was fair to have those people help pay for our fire and rescue services,” he said. “We felt it was truly the best for all concerned:”
He said that Rappahannock is basically an agricultural community and that if he doesn’t do anything else for this county he would like to plant a seed. He feels there will not be any relief from taxes until the country gets back to its original constitution, with
