LFCC Class at High School

Editing/Proofreading Skills (OFT107) is the next class in the Office Systems Technology Program (Administrative Assistant Specialization) offer by Lord Fairfax Community College at the Rappahannock County High School. The three credit class will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Aug. 29. The cost of the class is $139.95 ($46.95 per credit) plus an additional charge for textbooks.

Playgroup Forming

The Country Kids Playgroup, for parents and their children ages infant to four years will soon begin. Toys are provided. Field trips and activities planned. Shooting Matches Set

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will have their shooting matches starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 and continue each Saturday until Nov. 11. Only 12 gauge shotguns with no sleeves will be permitted. For more information call 937-3922 or 9376051.

Hunter Safety Course Planned

A hunter and firearm safety course will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 26 and from 1-6 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Amissville Volunteer Fire Department. Participants must attend both days to complete the 10 hour course. For additional information call 675-3331.
