William Cooper
Williams Allen Cooper, 76, of Culpeper, formerly of Amissville, died on Monday, Aug. 21 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1919, in Bealeton to the late Julius E. and Rebecca Lee Kane Cooper.
Mr. Cooper was a lifetime member of the Jeffersonton Baptist Church, served three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2524, a member of the American Legion Post 330, a charter member of the Amissville Fire Department and a charter member of the Amissville Ruritan Club.
Survivors include his companion, Mary T. Cooper; one daughter, Rebecca Cooper of Madison; one son, Gregory Cooper of Culpeper; one step-daughter, Brenda Tobias of Lafayette, Colorado and three grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sister. Myrtle L. Noel of Hooksett, New Hampshire and Eleanor M. Dennis of Alexandria.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert Cooper and Ivan Cooper.
