Every year, members of the Junior Classical League go to the national convention to compete in academic tests. Students also attend'Seminars, indulge in fellowship with other classics students, and elect new national officers for the coming academic year.
Welby Lynn was chosen to receive two JCL scholarships worth $1,500 and won many other distinctions. Nick Konick received a 1st place for an oil painting. All in all the WCDS contingent brought home 30 awards.
Alex Kelh of Castleton and Scott Updike of Washington from Wakefield School in Marshall were also at the convention.
