Del. Katzen reported in this paper or any other. Was there ever a probe?
After I read the article and the companion letter on the editorial page by the Rappahannock Democratic Committee chairman, I felt that the Scheer campaign was struggling for they have no issues on which to stand. This was magnified at the candidate forum at the Amissville Firehall on Aug. 15. Ms. Scheer came to the firehall with several supporters from Fauquier County who coached her thru her answers by whispering the info she needed or by trying to get her to lip read. This was done behind the back of the reporter from the Rappahannock News.
Del. Katzen’s campaign submitted information on his financial disclosure form based on an interpretation of the law they received from the State Board of Elections. Then on July 26th the Democrats with the Rappahannock News make as much commotion over it as possible giving the Democrats material for end of campaign bulk mailings reading, “Katzen Faces Election Probe.”
In the past both Democrats and Republicans have done things with their campaign accounts that bear scrutiny; but Del. Katzen is hardly one of improprieties. While his campaign was preparing the forms in
