Norman Reunion Planned

The annual Norman Reunion will be held on Sunday, Aug. 27 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. rain or shine. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish and a beverage. Plates, cups and plastic utensils will be provided.

Health Care in Recovery

Health Care in Recovery is a closed 12-step meeting for Health Care Professionals recovering from the disease of alcoholism/substance abuse.This groups focuses on recovery by sharing its experience, strength and! hope in the following area: treatment facilities and needs, legal resources,' disciplinary board process, aftercare monitoring and employment reentry.

Junior's Tennis Tournament

Rappahannock County Park is sponsoring a Junior’s Tennis Tournament on Sept. 22, 23 and 24. There will be several divisions of singles and doubles. The cost is $5 for each entry. Call Brian Bouffard at 675-3902 or Jean Lillard at 675-7171, days or 675-3670, evenings.

Gardener's Assistance

The Extension Master Gardeners are working several mornings a week this summer to provide homeowners with home horticulture and gardening information and to help with gardening problems. If you need assistance, please call 675-3619 or come by the Extension Office.

Benefit Auction Planned

Fall Forage Meeting

Attention area beefiforage producers. Please mark your calenders and plan to attend the Rappahannock Fall Forage Meeting scheduled for Sept. 8. Topics for discussion include fall pasture and hay management using poultry litter and considerations for your winter feeding program.

Hospice Training Scheduled

Hospice of the Rapidan is recruiting volunteers for training that begins in early September.

Hospice training prepares volunteers for vital work with terminally ill people in Rappahannock County and other counties in the PD 9 area. For further information call Martha Sukites, volunteer coordinator, at 825-4840.

Family Reunion Planned

The annual family reunion of the late Henry T. and Lillie Mi Cloud Wharton will be held at the Rappahannock County Park near Washington on Sept. 2. Family and friends are invited and should bring a covered dish.

CSC Will Not Operate

CSC Transit will not operate on Monday, Aug. 28, an agency InService Day. CSC Transit is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board.

CSC Transit serves the general public as well as clients of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board in the five counties of Planning District 9.
