There was a lot of barking, mewing, crowing, quacking and bleating coming from the park on U.S. 211 last Saturday, and the sound of happy children’s voices.
The reason for all the racket? It was the 4-H Cloverbud’s first ever Farm Fun Day.
Twenty county children exhibited their pets and small farm animals during the afternoon. Each child got to talk with 4-H judge Janet Grimsley about their animal and each received a green 4-H prize ribbon and a gift. There were •..also games to play, such as the cow pie toss or water balloon , throw, with prizes to win.
