volunteered as a nurse when the Clinic opened in July, 1993, and served for over two years.

Since the Clinic’s inception, there have been only two Executive Directors, both of whom are Rappahannock residents. Linda Coit served as the first executive director, and presently, Sharon Wyrrick, well known artist, holds the demanding job.

In keeping with the spirit of the Free Clinic, an evening of song, dance and fun called “Shine” will be held on Saturday, June 8 at the Warrenton Middle School. This third annual homegrown talent show will feature local entertainers in performance, and all monies raised will benefit the clinic. Ticket prices are $8 advance, $10 at the door, $3 for students. Kids under 12 come free!

Volunteers and donations are always welcome. The Fauquier Free Medical Clinic is open every Thursday; the new Dental Clinic is open on the first, third and fifth Thursdays. Registration for both is on a walk-in basis only from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Many services are available to , Rappahannock residents that cannot be obtained through our county ' Health Department. For more information and/or to determine eligibility, call (540) 347-0394.
