There was a rash of thefts throughout the county this last week.
Last Wednesday a $130 telephone was reported missing from a home owned by Mike Dunnigan on Route 622 in Castleton.
A storm door and plywood was taken from a house owned by Doug Klafehn off Route 707 last Wednesday.
Ivan Hall reported that two string trimmers and a 12-inch pruning saw were taken from a building on his property last Thursday. Mr. Hall lives on U.S. 211 in Sperryville.
A Stihl 011 chainsaw and a claw hammer were reported missing by James Petty who lives on Route 637 in Amissville. He called in to report them last Saturday.
