We are fortunate to have an Athletic Booster Club that raises money for our high school athletes. The different things that the group has contributed to high school athletics are too numerous to list here,' but some examples are a new volleyball net system (the old system was outlawed by the state for safety reasons,) years of supplying new uniforms, and even basketballs and baseballs in the past. Again, these were volunteers supplying these funds, not our county government. But these funds come almost exclusively from the many county resU dents who want to see our athletic facilities improved.
Volunteerism is wonderful, but it is unfortunate to have to rely only on it for almost everything connected with sports at our high school.
