To the Editor:

The Board of Directors of the Child Care and Learning Center joins me in thanking our eight host couples who graciously opened their homes to 64 guests Saturday, April 28, for the CCLC Country Suppers fundraising event. Because of the generosity of our hosts and donations from our supporters, we raised over $6,000.

Our hosts couples were Lee and Diana Bird, Lisle Carter and Jane Livingston, Ted and Renate Chapman, John and Linda Kiser, Gene and Clarissa Leggett, Rob and Susan Parrish, Stephanie Ridder and John Beardsley, and Bill and Sheila Ryan. Our evening began with an open house/cocktail party organized by Kay Miller at the Child Care aftS"Learning Center, and then progressed on to dinner at host homes throughout the county. Thank you all so much for making this a memorable and profitable evening!

Thanks,

To the Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the businesses, community members, parents, school administrators, teachers. School Board members and members of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office that helped to make the Student’s Against Drunk Driving 1995-96 After-Prom Party a huge success.

We are very proud to say that we had approximately 160 students sign in for the after-prom party. That’s about 40 more students than last year. We gave away more than 175 door prizes and over $1,350 in cash prizes.
