Jim Clark guarded the Panther goal for the first half, and the half ended with Central up 2-0. So Coach Rogers sent Jim up to the front and put Rob Reeve in the goal for the second half. Central got two more goals, but at least Rappahannock had one goal. Chris Sause picked off a Central throw in from the sidelines and passed it to Jim Clark who got the goal.
The Panthers were due to finish the regular season against Clarke County Tuesday, but rain postponed the game. At press time it was scheduled for Wednesday.
The tournament will be played at Brentsville next Tuesday and Thursday. Coach Rogers expects to be facing Central again. “We’ll have to make some corrections,” he said.
