The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has targeted 20 localities for inclusion in this year’s pesticide disposal program. Among those is Washington.
The program is designed to assist agricultural producers, pesticide dealers, and pest control firms with the proper disposal of unusable, unwanted, outdated or banned pesticides. Now in its seventh year of operation, the disposal program is a cooperative effort of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the Virginia Pesticide Control Board, the Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services, Virginia \ • Cooperative Extension and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Commercial and private pesticide applicators in the selected localities who want to participate in the program must contact their local Extension Agent of the Office of Pesticide
