Dr. Gangel recommended tabling the issue until the board could look at it and said a decision could be made at the next board meeting.
The roof at the elementary school, which cost $65,000, still leaks, said Dr. Gangel. He said that he has held back payment for the roof until it is fixed and inspected.
Also, he said the windows in the new addition at the elementary school were installed backwards and they leak. He believes that legal action will have to be taken in order to get them fixed but recommended that the contractor be asked to come and talk to the school board members.
Dr. Gangel said that the budget must be passed to the county Board of Supervisors by April 1, and the board will be having work sessions until then. The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the budget at 7 p.m. on April 28 at RCHS.
